Brazilian Furniture, an initiative by ABIMÓVEL in partnership with ApexBrasil, will come to Colombia with 15 exhibiting brands and a business mission bringing together 48 Brazilian companies and 25 Latin American buyers.
From September 10–12, 2026, Brazil will take part in the 13th edition of La Feria De Diseño Medellín powered by idd cologne, with a participation that connects product, industrial capabilities, and new business opportunities.
The initiative will be presented through Brazilian Furniture, a project developed by the Brazilian Association of Furniture Industries (ABIMÓVEL) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).
Across the exhibition spaces, brands will present products, solutions, and diverse expressions of high-end Brazilian furniture to La Feria’s professional audience. At the same time, the companies will take part in business matchmaking meetings with Latin American, North American and Caribbean buyers, with conversations covering portfolios, pricing, volumes, adaptations, distribution, logistics, and applications for specific projects.
All of this will take place within an edition bringing together 285 brands and approaching design through multiple dimensions: cultural, productive, and commercial.

Brazil’s participation will be guided by a central theme: “Conexões” (Connections), a concept presented by ABIMÓVEL in Milan in 2026 and adopted across its international initiatives throughout the year.
In Medellín, this idea will take shape at La Feria through Espaço Brasil, a showcase designed to highlight the diversity of Brazilian production without reducing it to a single aesthetic. Companies from different regions, scales, and areas of expertise will present capabilities ranging from industrial manufacturing to customized developments.
The starting point is simple: a piece of furniture begins long before the finished object. It starts with territory, materials, knowledge, design, engineering, and production. Then come the professionals who specify, distribute, and integrate those products into new spaces and projects. This network of relationships gives meaning to Conexões and brings together two conversations that naturally coexist at La Feria: design and market.

Brazilian Furniture’s arrival in Medellín comes at a favorable moment for trade between Brazil and Colombia.
According to figures released by ABIMÓVEL, Colombia imported US$9.7 million in Brazilian furniture between January and June 2026, representing a 37.6% increase compared with the same period in 2025. During those six months, Colombia accounted for 2.8% of Brazil’s furniture exports and ranked among the sector’s ten leading international destinations.
This momentum extends across the region. Uruguay, Argentina, Peru, Paraguay, and Bolivia also increased their imports of Brazilian furniture during the first half of 2026, as Latin America takes on a more prominent role in the industry’s international strategy.
For the companies coming to Medellín, this creates tangible opportunities: understanding new market demands, testing their portfolios across different markets, and building relationships with buyers, distributors, and professionals involved in projects throughout the region.
This is where La Feria plays an important role as a meeting point. Espaço Brasil will offer visitors the opportunity to discover different expressions of Brazilian furniture, while the business mission will bring those products into conversations with the potential to open new projects, partnerships, and distribution channels.
“Conexões” captures that intention: following the journey of an idea from its origin to the people, spaces, and markets where it can find new possibilities.
